THEO-101: Foundations of Faith
Why do we believe in Allah? In an age of skepticism, this course offers clear, purpose-driven answers, exploring the beauty, meaning, and impact of faith on individuals and the world. Students will delve into the pillars of Iman—understanding the attributes of Allah, the prophets, divine books, destiny, the Day of Judgment, and the Afterlife. The course also addresses common misconceptions, such as the "problem of evil" and the question of free will, helping students increase their certainty in Allah and Islam as a way of life. By the end of this course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to live purposefully in light of their beliefs.

Br. Naeem Baig
Br. Naeem Baig holds a degree in Business with honors from the University of Maryland and is currently a fifth-year student in Qalam’s ʿĀlimiyyah program, set to graduate in 2026, and serves as an Instructor with the Qalam Academy. He memorized the Qur’an in College Park, MD, at DUS Hifzh School and has served communities across the DMV, DFW, Cincinnati, and Minnesota areas through halaqāt, khutbahs, and community programming. Known for his warm and relatable teaching style, he is passionate about helping build faith-centered families and communities.
